  • Ask a friend or neighbour to move post out of sight of the front door when you’re away.
  • Illuminate outside areas with security lighting – this will help to deter thieves whilst helping you feel more secure when you return home at night.
  • Never leave a spare key hidden near the front door as this is the first place thieves will look! If you do need to provide access to a spare key the safest thing to do is to fit a key safe.
