What a the different types of fire alarm system available?

All fire alarm systems work in a similar way: if a detector identifies heat or smoke, or someone triggers the alarm through a manual break point, the alarm will sound to warn those in the building that there could be a fire and they need to evacuate. In addition, some systems also include remote signalling equipment, designed to alert the fire brigade.

There are four categories of fire alarm system: conventional, addressable, analogue addressable and wireless. Each system varies in complexity, with some systems ideal for installation in smaller businesses premises such as shops, whilst others are better suited to factories or offices based across multiple floors.
